Horse care and yard standards

The standard we keep

We are committed to maintaining a calm, professional and safe environment, and the full detail lives in the livery agreement. Day to day, it comes down to four simple things.

01

Safe handling

Horses are handled safely and considerately at all times.

02

A tidy yard

Yard areas are kept clean and tidy, and equipment stored correctly after use.

03

Mutual respect

Respect for other clients, horses and staff is essential.

04

Care of facilities

Facilities are used respectfully and safely, and left as you would wish to find them.

Day to day

Settled in properly

The large indoor stables are fitted with automatic water drinkers and rubber flooring, with stable CCTV access for peace of mind. Every client is allocated a secure tack locker and a dedicated feed area within the feed cabin, and horsebox and trailer parking is available on site.

Clients look after their own horse feed, and we are always happy to advise on trusted local suppliers. Wash bays, a hot shower and a solarium take care of the less glamorous days.

Visitors and guests

Always pleased to see you

Family and friends are very welcome at Tanglewood. We simply ask that visitors respect the yard's ways, that children are supervised at all times, and that dogs are kept under control and on a lead.

The local area

Worth the short drive

Morpeth town centre, the Northumberland coastline, and countryside walks and trails are all within easy reach, and we are proud to point people towards the local businesses we rate.
